PTU Pink Lemonade

CT Tutorial using PTU kit **Pink Lemonade** by Lori at Scrap it Studio and tube by Alex Prihodko

This tutorial was written my Myself. It is my own idea and creation. 
Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used the beautiful artwork of Alex Prihodko at Pics For Design
Scrap kit - Gorgeous PTU Pink Lemonade by Lori at Scrap It Studio
Template by Me  HERE
Font used - Tall trees

Filters/Plug Ins

EyeCandy - HSB Noise
Xero - Radiance
Mura's Meister - Copies

Open template, duplicate and close original. Delete credits and background.

In layer palette - Layer 1 - Selections - Select all - Float.

From kit c/paste paper 25.

De float - Invert - Delete. Select none.

 Change blend mode to  and merge down with temp layer. D /shadow

Layer palette - Layer 2 - Selections - Select all - Float.
C/paste Paper 15.
De Float - Invert - Delete.
Select none. Delete temp layer.
Apply Xero - Radiance twice (Settings below) D/shadow.

Layer Palette - Merge layers 3 and 4.
Selections - Select all - Float.
C/paste paper 22 re sized to 80%.
De float - Invert - Delete.
Select none. Delete temp layer and d/shadow.
Move this layer below layer 1.

Layer Palette - Layer 5.
Using Manual Color Correction change colour to your liking. I took a soft pink from my tube.
Apply EyeCandy - Hsb Noise (settings below) D/shadow.

Layer Palette - layer 6 - Selections - Select all - Float.
C/paste paper 12 re sized to 80%.
De float - Invert - Delete. Select None.
Change blend mode to Overlay.

From Kit, C/paste Flower 1 re sized to 25%. Apply Mura's Copies - Encircle (Settings below)
Position behind layer 6 above layer 5. Duplicate and change blend mode of top copy to screen.
D/shadow the bottom copy.

C/paste Fruit slice 1. Duplicate twice so 3 copies in all.
Move copy 1 to bottom of canvas and position above layer 7.
Copy 2 re size to 80% and position above layer 8. Change blend mode to luminance legacy.
Copy 3 re size to 50% and position above layer 9. Duplicate again and change blend mode of top copy to screen. D/shadow all.


C/paste your tube above the temp layers, behind the word art and position off centre on the right. Apply Xero - Radiance to suit your tube and d/shadow.

Continue to add elements of choice from kit and position around the tube and temp layers.D/shadow to your liking. I used...

Pink Ice - Position top left behind template layers. Duplicate and mirror copy to right. Merge down. Use Manual color correction to change colour from pink to yellow.
C/paste element again and this time re size to 50%. Leave as pink. Make it so you have 4 copies in all and place 1 at each corner of the tag.

Bottles - 80%. Position bottom right. Behind tube layer. Above temp layers.

Bow 2  - Flip - Rotate right by 30. Position bottom left above Pink Ice, behind Fruit Slices.

Bird - Position to the left of tube behind Fruit Slices. Duplicate. Re size copy to 80% and mirror. Place above the original.

Button 2 - Place to the right of tube. Above this place Flower 5 re sized to 55%. Duplicate flower and change blend mode of top copy to screen. Merge down with original flower. D/shadow flower then merge down with Button. Duplicate this merged layer and place bottom left of tag above Bow, behind Fruit Slices.

Frame 4 - 50 %. - Rotate left by 30. Place top left corner above the circular temp layer. Behind the top rectangular layer. Duplicate. Mirror copy to right and merge down. Set opacity to 60.

Flower 4 - 45%. Bottom right above tube, behind word art. Duplicate, change blend mode of top copy to screen.

Flower 1 - 25%. Place at the bottom of tag, above Fruit Slice behind word art. Duplicate, change blend mode of top copy to screen.

Paper Curl 1 - 60%. Position on the left behind Button/Fruit Slice. Duplicate and mirror copy to right behind Bottles.

Merge all layers. Crop/re size to your liking. I usually sharpen at this point rather than each separate element as I go along. Adjust - Sharpness - Unsharp Mask 5.0 - 30 -5.
Add name and relevant artist copyright and tube licence info.
Save as Png.

FTU Bad Bad Girl

Supplies Needed.

Tube/tubes. I have used the amazing artwork of Alex Prihodko. Available from Pics for Design HERE

Filters Used

UnPlugged Tools - Jalusi

Xero - Radiance

EyeCandy - Shadowlab

Open template duplicate and close original. Delete credits, background and blue oval layer.

In layer palette - merge grey oval 1 and 2. Selections- Float. C/paste a paper from kit. I used paper 1 re sized  to 80%. De float, invert the selection and hit delete. Select None and delete original template layer. Add a drop shadow.

L Palette- Grey Rectangle. Float, add a new raster layer and flood fill with a 2 colour linear gradient. Angle 45. Repeats - 0. I used Blue/foreground and Dark grey/background taken from my tube. Select None. Duplicate this new gradient layer and working on top copy apply filter - Unplugged Tools - Jalusi ( settings below ) Change blend mode to luminance legacy and merge down with original gradient layer. Delete template layer.

L Palette - Green Oval. Repeat process as used for previous layer. 

C/Paste element 46 frame. Re size to 78%. Position behind the pink square above oval layers. use raster deform tool to stretch it vertically a little. Use the pink oval layer as guide. The frame should just cover it. Then the pink oval layer can be deleted. Drop Shadow the frame.

Back to layer palette. Pink Square - Float and add new raster layer. flood fill with colour/paper of choice. I used black. Select None and merge down with original temp layer. D/shadow. 

L Palette. White Square. Float, add new layer and flood fill with same gradient we used on previous layers.  C/paste tube. I rotated to left slightly and drop shadowed before pasting. Move into desired location below the selection. Invert and hit delete. Select none. Apply Xero - Radiance to suit your tube if you wish.

C/Paste your main tube above template layers. Again d/ shadow and add Radiance if you wish to. Now work chosen elements from kit around your tube and temp layers and drop shadow to your liking. I used ....

59 Bow. Re sized to 50%. Position to top of right of image above rectangle. Add shadow lab. duplicate and mirror copy to left. Shadowlab settings I used see below.

18 Lips. Re sized to 70%. Image - Mirror. Rotate right by 8. Bottom right of tag behind tube.

48 Banner. Re sized to 60%. Position left of tag behind tube. Duplicate and move copy to right. Add Shadowlab.

43 Glitter Splatter. Re sized 50 %. Adjust gaussian blur by 2. Paste behind all layers left of tag. Duplicate and mirror to right. Move and position so that both copies are in line with Banner.

23 Suitcase. Re sized to 50%. Left of tag behind tube layer. Above Banner.

41 Star. Re sized to 70%. Left of tag behind Suitcase. Duplicate re size copy again by 70% and move towards top left .

19 Beads. Re sized to 30%. Rotate right by 58. Left of tag above suitcase, behind tube.

15 Whip. Re sized to 60%. I positioned above tube layer and used eraser tool to remove part of handle so that tube looks as though she is holding it.

40 Razor blade. Re sized to 50%. Mirror the element add Shadowlab and position behind Banner and Bow on the right.

58 Heart. Re size by 30%. Rotate right by 8. Position top right of tag. Duplicate and move copy to left behind suitcase and tube layer. Duplicate again and mirror to right so that this copy is behind Lips.

Mask Layer. Add paper or flood fill a new raster layer at bottom of layer palette with colour or gradient of choice. I used black. Load mask from disk- Fit to layer. In layer palette. delete mask and merge group. Use raster deform to stretch and move into desired position.

Colour, shadow and position word art. Merge all layers and crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add name and relevant copyright and tube licence info. Save as Png.

PTU A Little 'Me' Time

A Little 'Me' Time was written by Myself on 6th March 2013. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used Butterfly. A stunning tube by artist Alex Prihodko, available HERE

Scrap kit I used is PTU, Janette from Bibi 's Collection. I purchased from SATC HERE

Plug In's Used

Xero-Radiance

Xero-Nostalgia

Open a new image 700 x 700. Paste frame 56 as a new layer, re size 70 % and rotate right by 2. Using magic wand tool, click inside centre of frame to float. Selections-modify-expand by 4. Paste paper 3 as a new layer. Selections-invert and delete. Move new layer below frame. While still selected, paste a close up of your tube. Move into desired position inside the selection and hit delete again. Select none. Apply Xero - Nostalgia. Settings below.

 Merge all 3 layers together move slightly to left and apply Xero- Radiance to suit your tube choice.

Paste your tube. Position to the right of tag and drop shadow.  Add Elements of choice and drop shadow to your liking. I used...

Element 26 Gramophone. Re sized 90%. left of tag below tube layer.

6  Feathers. Re sized 60%  . Bottom left of tag below gramophone. Duplicate- mirror to right of tag beneath tube.

54. Flowers. Beneath tube layer. Above Frame.

75. Flower. Re sized 50%. Rotate left by 4. Bottom of tag. I positioned to make it look like she was holding it and used eraser too to remove stem above her fingers.

17. Lanterns. Re size 80%. Placed top of tag above frame.

76. Pink Bubbles. Re size 85%. Bottom of tag. Above frame. below all other layers.

34. Music notes, Re size 35 %. Left of tag above gramophone.

  45. Shoe. Re size 30%. Image mirror. Duplicate to make a pair and position bottom left of tag.

22. Make up. Re size 60 %. Bottom of tag. Above tube.

68. Nail polish. Re size 30%. Bottom of tag. Above make up.

9. Scatter. Paste and position. Bottom in layer palette.

Merge visible. Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add  name and relevant copyright Info. Save as Png.

FTU Irish Eyes

Plug In's Used

Xero- Porcelain

Open a new image 700 x 700. Paste element 3-Heart as a new layer and resize 150%. Using your freehand selection tool. Draw a selection around the top inner of the heart. Not easy but try to get as neatly to the edge as possible. As you can see, my hands not too steady :)

Paste a close up of your tube and move slightly to right of heart. Selections- invert and hit delete to remove excess tube from outside selection. Select none. Change blend mode to hard light and apply Xero-Porcelain.  Settings I used below.

Paste and drop shadow your Main tube and place centrally at the bottom of tag. Work your Chosen elements around the tube layers. Drop shadow to your liking.  I used.....

Element 35. Harp. Image mirror. Place top left of tag behind heart.

Element 5. Hat. Re size 50%. Bottom left of tag. Above heart. Beneath tube.

Element 23. Horseshoe. Resize 30%. Rotate left by 28. Place bottom left of tag above tube layer.

Element 19. Butterflies. Resize 60 %. Top left of tag. Above close up. Beneath main tube.

Element 34. Lips. Place centrally and move down slightly. Above butterflies. Beneath main tube.

Element 8. Clover Border. Re size 105. Image-Mirror. Place along bottom of tag. Beneath Heart and tube layers. Vertically it will be on the right of the tag. Use eraser tool to remove excess that shows above heart element on top right.

Element 18 Name Tag. Re size 65%. top right. Above Heart.

Element 4. Clover Bunch. Re size 35%. Place above Name tag slightly  to right.

Finally the mask layer. Add a new raster layer at bottom of layer palette. Flood fill with colour, paper or gradient of choice. Re size by 97%. Load mask from disk - Fit to layer checked. Back in layer palette, delete mask and merge group.

Merge Visible. Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking and add name and copyright info. save as PNG. All done. Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and your pleased with your results. Sal :)

FTU My Blue Heart

My Blue Heart was written by Myself on 17th February 2013. Any Similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used the Stunning Artwork of Alex Prihodko. Available from Pics for design  HERE

Gorgeous FTU Scrap kit, Feeling Blue by Mary at Sweet As Honey Creationz  HERE

Filters Used

Xero- Porcelain

Open an image 700 x 700 . Paste paper 10  and resize by 80%. Load mask fom disk- fit to layer. In layer palette delete mask, merge group, duplicate and merge down. Paste frame 5 as a new layer and resize to 80%. take your magic wand and click inside the frame. Go to selections -modify-expand by 4. paste paper 3 resized by 60%. Selections-invert and hit delete. Select none.

Still on this layer take your freehand selection too and draw a semi circle on the the left side of your Inner circle. Effects -texture effects- weave with these settings. Select none.

Paste your tube and apply Xero- Porcelain- default settings.  Duplicate and move one layer below your frame. Drop shadow your original (top copy) .Use eraser tool to neaten and remove excess tube on each copy so it fits neatly in the bottom of your frame.

Paste Elements of choice and drop shadow as desired. Refer to my image as a guide, I used.....

Beads 1 - Resize 80%. Place above mask layer towards bottom of tag, Duplicate, flip and mirror. Move into desired position at top of tag.

Butterfly love - Resize 70%-Mirror. Place left of tag, above frame.

Bow 1 - Resize 40%-rotate left by 8. Place above butterfly love on left of tag.

Heart Butterfly 1 - Resize 40%- rotate left by 15. Place bottom right of tag above frame. Duplicate and image mirror to left, Move left copy higher up the frame.

Bow 4 - Resize 60%. Place left of tag beneath heart butterfly on frame. Duplicate and mirror. Place beneath right copy of heart butterfly . Bottom right of tag.

Bow 3 - Resize 40%. Place centrally at bottom of frame, beneath butterfly love element.

Hearts 1 - Resize 70%, Place Centrally, above bow 3.

Heartballoon 1 - Resize 50%. - Rotate right by 9. Place top right of tag.

Heartballoon 2 - Resize 40% - Rotate right by 9. Place Above balloon 1. 

Merge Visible. Crop/resize and sharpen to your liking. Add Name and relevant copyright info and save as PNG. All done. Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and your pleased with your tag. Sal :)
