PTU Freddy's Dream



Freddy's Dream was written by myself on 14th October 2013. It is my own idea and creation. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used the amazing artwork of Diana Gali available at  SATC

Matching Ptu Kit is 'Freddy' by Bibi's Collection. Also at  SATC

Mask Wsl 208 by Chelle at  Weescotslass Creations

Font Used - Nightmare 5


Filters Used

Tramages - Mo Jellyfish



Open a new image 700 x 700.
Starting with mask layer...
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a gradient of your choice. See pic for my gradient settings.


Load mask from disk - fit to layer. In layer palette, delete mask and merge group. Use raster deform tool to re size and position to your liking. Duplicate the layer and change blend mode of top copy to Multiply. Don't merge.







Above mask layer c/paste Element 80 Frame re sized to 50%.
 Click in centre with magic wand to float. Selections - Modify - Expand by 2. C/paste paper 8 re sized to 50%. Position. Invert the selection and hit delete. Select none. Apply Tramages - Mo Jellyfish with settings below. Repeat. Move paper layer below Frame. Go back to selections and working on paper layer, Select all - Float. C/paste Element 96 Ghost 1 Re sized to 30 %. Position towards the left.
De Float - Invert - Delete. Select none. Reduce opacity of Ghost to around 20% and merge layer down with paper layer.





Back on Frame layer. Take your magic wand tool and click inside the cut out section of the frame to float. Selections Modify - Expand by 2. Add new raster layer and flood fill the floating selection with gradient used on mask layer. Select none. Move below frame layer apply Mo jellyfish as before. Duplicate layer, change blend mode of top copy to Hard light. Merge layer down with original then merge Frame down with this layer.

D/shadow Frame and merge layer down with paper layer.

C/paste Element 18 Tree 1 re sized to 70%. Position behind Frame on the right. Duplicate and mirror copy to left side above the Frame. D/shadow.

C/paste Element 21 Tree 2 re sized to 70%. Position behind  Frame at the top of canvas. D/shadow.

C/paste your tube above Frame on the right side of canvas. D/shadow.

Work desired elements from kit around frame and tube layers and d/shadow to your liking. I used .....

41 Barbed Wire - 50%. Behind Tree/tube across centre of paper and Frame. Use eraser tool to remove excess that shows to the right of tube.

51 Hand Print - 30% Position top left of frame. Behind Tree.

14 Bird - 25%. Top left, above Tree.

2 Web - 50% - Mirror. Position bottom left of Frame, above Tree. Duplicate and move copy to top of tag behind left side of tube.

5 Jar - 70%. Bottom left, above Web layer.

118 Eyeball - 40%. Bottom Left. Position behind Jar so that it appears to be sitting in there.

103 Chainsaw - 60%. Bottom left. Above Jar.

112 Spider - 60% - Rotate right 21 degrees. Bottom left above Chainsaw. Duplicate and change blend mode of top copy to screen. Shadow the bottom copy.

13 Bones - 60%. Bottom of tag. Behind and to right of Chainsaw. Above tube layer.

130 Rose - 50 % - Rotate right by 12 degrees. Bottom of tag. Above Chainsaw and Bones.

50 Fire - 40%. Position above bottom of tube behind Bones. Duplicate and move copy up slightly behind left side of tube. Duplicate again Mirror and position this copy bottom right of  tag above tube layer.

8 Razorblades - 50%. Bottom right, above Fire.

66 Blood - 40%. Position behind tube on the right. Duplicate and move copy behind Chainsaw.

66 Blood - 20% - Mirror. Make 5 copies and position randomly along bottom edge of tag behind elements.

29  Lamp- 70% - Mirror. Top right, behind tube.


Merge all layers. Crop/re size to your liking. I usually sharpen at this point rather than each separate element as I go along. Adjust - Sharpness - Unsharp Mask 5.0 - 30 -5.
Add name and relevant artist copyright and tube licence info.
Save as Png.

FTU Shipwrecked



Shipwrecked was written by Myself on 8th August 2013. It is my own idea and creation. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed.

Tube - I have used the stunning artwork of Diana Gali, available from SATC   HERE

Awesome Ftu Scrap kit is ' Pirate Cove' by Gimptastic Scraps   HERE

Mask Wsl 236 by Chelle   HERE

Font used is Trinigan


Open a new image 700 x 700. Starting with the mask layer. C/paste paper 7 from kit. Load mask from disk - fit to layer. In layer palette delete mask and merge group. Re size layer 120 %.

C/paste Frame 5 re sized to 90%. Click in centre of each circle with magic wand tool to float. Selections - Modify - Expand by 2 . C/paste paper 10. Invert the selection and hit delete. Select none.  Move paper layer below frame. Add a drop shadow to frame and merge the 2 layers.

C/paste Tree element - Re sized to 80%. Mirror image and rotate to right by 6. Position top right of mask above the frame layer. D/shadow. Duplicate the tree and move the copy behind the frame layer. Working on original, use eraser tool to remove trunk of tree from above the frame, so that tree branches are above the frame, trunk is behind.

C/paste Sand element re sized to 90 %. Position along bottom of tag at the bottom of frame. Duplicate, on bottom copy adjust gaussian blur by 10. Reduce opacity on top copy to 70. Use eraser tool to remove bottom of mask that is visible below sand. See pic.. this is where we are at this point...


C/paste your tube, move to the left side of  tag. If like me you are using a half tube then position behind the sand to disguise where the tube ends. D shadow.

Now add desired elements from kit and d/shadow to your liking....I used

Trunk - 50%. Bottom right of tag above Sand.

Bags - 60%. Bottom right behind Trunk.

Rolled Paper - 40%. Rotate right by 32. Bottom right above Trunk.

Seagull - 40 %. Bottom right above Rolled Paper.

Keys - 25 %. Bottom right above Rolled Paper.

Coconut - 70%. Bottom centre. Behind Rolled Paper. 

Ship - 70%. Image - Mirror. Bottom left, behind Coconut. Above tube.

Grass - 70%.  Bottom centre behind Coconut, above Trunk. Duplicate and move copy to left above Frame behind tube. Duplicate and mirror copy to right side of canvas above Frame behind Bags.

Lizard - 40%.  Image - Mirror- Rotate right by 18. Position to right. Above Frame behind grass.

Merge Layers. Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add name and relevant copyright and tube licence info. Save as Png....

FTU Party Rockers


Party Rockers was written by Myself on 20th June 2013. It is my own idea and creation. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used the awesome artwork of Diana Gali. Available from SATC  HERE
Amazing Ftu Scrap kit is 'Rock My Lollipop'. A collab by Kristin and Justine. I have used Kristin's part. You can find this on her blog, Toxic Desirez  HERE

Filters Used
Mura's Meister - Copies
Cybia - Screenworks


Open a new image 700 x 700. C/paste the CD element from kit re sized to 95%  in the centre of the canvas.
C/paste Splatter element from kit re sized 50 %. Apply Mura's - Copies - Encircle. Settings below. Move this layer behind CD layer.


  Above the CD layer C/paste Frame re sized to 75%.

Using your magic wand tool click inside the centre of frame to float the inner circle. Selections - Modify - Expand by 3. C/paste a close up of your tube and position to the left of the floating circle. Invert the selection and hit delete. Select none. Change blend mode to Burn. Move the tube layer below the frame.

C/Paste your main tube roughly centrally above the frame. Add a drop shadow. With this tube in place go back to your close up and using eraser tool, remove close up that exceeds right of your main tube.

In layer palette select CD layer again. Using your freehand selection tool draw a semi circle to the right of the Cd keeping within the edge of the black circle on the frame layer.. See pic below...



Once your happy with your selection go to Selections menu and promote selection to layer. Select none. Apply Cybia Screenworks - Boxed Dot - Mode 0.

Now work desired elements from kit around tube and frame. D/shadow to your liking. I used .....

Music Bars - 75%. Behind tube layer centrally across the frame. Apply Shadow.

Buttons - 95%. Behind tube layer. Above Music Bars.

Guitar - 75%. Above Buttons. Left of canvas. Apply Shadow.

Skull - 25%. Mirror - Bottom left above Guitar layer.

Microphone - 60% Rotate right 60 degrees. Bottom right of canvas.

Ticket - 50 %. Rotate left 7 degrees.Bottom right of tag behind Microphone.

Splatter- 50%. Bottom right of canvas. Behind all other layers.

Merge Layers. Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add name and relevant copyright and tube licence info. Save as Png.

FTU Bringing Sexy Back

Supplies Needed
Tube of choice. I have used the stunning artwork of Diana Gali - available from SATC   HERE
Fantastic Ftu Scrap kit is ' Let's Try' by Gimptastic Scraps  HERE 
Template 42 by Me  HERE
Mask Wsl-180 by Chelle  HERE

Filters Used.
Xero - Radiance
PhotoEffex - Scanlines
EyeCandy - Chrome and Shadow



Open template, duplicate and close original. Delete credits.
In layer palette select Blue rectangle. Float and c/paste paper 1 - re sized to 105%. De float, invert the selection and hit delete. Select none and delete original temp layer.

Back in layer palette merge blue rectangle 1 and 2. Float and c/paste paper 4. De float, invert and delete. Select none and delete temp layer.

Layer palette - Merge pink rectangle 1 and 2.  Float, C/paste paper 2. De float, invert and delete. select none and apply EyeCandy - Chrome see settings below. 



Layer palette - Merge Grey rectangle 1 and 2. Float, c/paste paper 1. De float invert and delete. Select none and delete temp layer.

Thin Grey rectangle - Apply chrome with settings as before changing colour from zebra to silver then apply Photoeffex - Scanlines on default settings. Drop shadow.

Purple Circle- Same float and fill method as used on previous layers. I used paper paper 7. D/shadow.

Pink Octo - Float - C/paste paper 2. De float, invert and delete. Still floated c/paste a close up of your tube and position as desired below the selection. Hit delete again on the tube layer. Select none. Apply Xero - Radiance to your tube and change blend mode to Luminance legacy. Still on tube layer take your freehand selection tool and draw around the outline of lips as neatly as possible. you may find it easier if you zoom in. Once the lips are floated go to selections menu and promote selection to layer. Select none, change blend mode to hard light and reduce opacity to your liking . Mine is at 80. Repeat process for pupils of eyes. Keeping opacity at 100.

Octo Frame and Stars - Apply Chrome - settings as before - silver. Apply shadow.

Word art 1. Float Apply Outer bevel. Settings below. De float.


Word art 2. Float. C/Paste paper  7. De float, invert and delete. Select none and delete temp layer. Float the new layer and again apply outer bevel. Select none. Merge down with white layer and shadow.

Word art 3.  Adjust color balance - manual color correction- change from blue to colour of choice. I used red from paper used for word art 2.

C/paste your main tube. Position to left of canvas . Duplicate. Drop shadow the original - bottom copy and working on the top copy - adjust gaussian blur by 3 and change blend mode to soft light.

Now work desired elements from kit around tube and template layers and drop shadow to your liking. I used ....
Swirl - 50%. Position top right of canvas. Duplicate and mirror copy to left.

Heart - 50%. Position top right of rectangle. Duplicate, mirror copy to left.

Bullet - Bottom left of canvas.

Chain - 50%. Bottom left above Bullet layer.

Dice - 60%. Bottom left above chain layer.

Flower 2 - 60% - Rotate right by 12.  Above and to the right of Dice.

Nail Polish - 60%. Bottom right of Canvas.

Handcuffs - 60 %. Flip and rotate left by 35. Position right of canvas above nail polish. Use selection tool or eraser to remove part of cuff so that it appears to be hooked over thin rectangle.

Choker. Rotate left by 6. Bottom right above nail polish, behind stars/ word art.

Doodle 1 - 90% - Rotate left by 90. Bottom of canvas. Above choker, behind word art. I darkened colour slightly using manual color correction.

Sparkles. Centre of canvas. Above close up. Behind main tube.

Mask layer. C/paste paper of choice from kit. I used paper 6, re sized to 115%. Move to bottom of layer palette and load mask from disk - fit to layer. In layer palette, delete mask and merge group. Use raster deform to stretch and position to your liking.

Merge visible and Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add name and relevant artist copyright and tube licence info. Save as Png...

PTU Punked








Punked was written by myself on the 3rd of April 2013. It is my own idea and creation. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed
Tube-  I have used 'Grace'  the stunning artwork of Diana Gali. New at SATC  HERE
Scrap Kit - I used a matching kit 'Sexy Punk' by Bibi's Collections. Also from SATC  HERE
Template 32 Punk by Me HERE
Mask of choice. I used my own.
Font used is Berlin Graffiti

Plug In's Used
PhotoEffex - Scanlines
Xero - Radiance
EyeCandy - Gradient Glow

Open template. Duplicate and close original. Delete credits and black rectangle layer.
In layer palette merge Oval 1 and 2. Selections-float and paste paper 13 re sized to 60%. De float- invert and hit delete. Select none and delete original temp layer.

Layer palette- Merge grey rectangle 1 and 2 and re size to 105%. Selections-Float. Paste paper 7 re sized to 60%. De float - invert and delete. Delete original layer.

Layer Palette- Pink Rectangle 1. Again Float. Paste paper 2 Rotated 90 degrees and align so that you have a central vertical stripe. De float - invert and delete. Repeat this for Pink Rectangle 2.
 Back to rectangle 1. Using your selection tool set on rectangle, create a thin stripe on the left. Paste paper 7 and position where you like beneath the selection. Invert and delete. Select none. Duplicate and position the copy above rectangle 2 on the right. Change blend mode on both stripes to Burn.

Layer palette- Pink Oval. Selections- Float. Paste a close up of your tube and position beneath the selection.  De float - Invert and hit delete to remove excess tube. Select none and change blend mode to Exclusion. Drop shadow and merge down with original template layer. Duplicate the layer and on the original (bottom copy) Adjust motion blur. Direction - 0- Strength - 50. Apply Photoeffex Scanlines on default settings and Effects - Edge Effects- Enhance. 

Word art - Selections - Float - modify-expand by 2. Add new layer. Flood fill with colour of choice. I used a silver gradient. Select None. Move new layer below word art layer and merge. Apply a thin white glow using EyeCandy - Gradient Glow. D/shadow.

C/paste your main tube. Add Xero - Radiance if you so wish. Position and drop shadow to your liking. 
With our tube in place we can now work our chosen elements around it. ..... I used 

62 City-Re sized 60%. Position behind Tube and Word art. Duplicate and working on the original, apply Motion blur- direction 90 - strength 50, then again with direction at 270. Apply PhotoEffex - Scanlines on default settings and Effects-Edge effects- Enhance. Drop shadow the top copy.

17 Traffic light- Position right of image behind tube. Use eraser tool to remove excess at the bottom. Duplicate and repeat the motion blur, scanlines and edge effects we applied on city element. Drop shadow top copy.

41 Checked pattern - Re sized 30%. Centre of image. Behind city and tube.

27 Star Trail-Re sized 85%. Behind City and tube. Above pattern.

13 Chain - Re sized 50%.  Position top of rectangle 1, duplicate and move copy to the top of rectangle 2. Drop shadow.

14 Heart - Re sized 50%. Image - Mirror. Bottom left of tag, behind tube. D/shadow.

77 Arrows. Position bottom of tag. Behind heart and tube layers.

8 Bow/Web-Re sized 30%. Bottom right. Behind word art. D/shadow.

107 Purple Circles. Top right. Duplicate. Adjust gaussian blur on bottom copy by 3.

102 Blue Stars - Re sized 35%. Bottom right above tube. D/shadow.

Apply Mask if you so wish. Merge visible. Crop/re size and sharpen to your liking. Add name and relevant copyright and tube licence info. Save as Png.
